Native Instruments has released Kontakt Retro Machines, a new sound library for Kore 2 and the free Kore Player. Based on material from the Kontakt 3 factory library, Kontakt Retro Machines provides a collection of vintage instruments that established the sound of many electronic music genres of the past. The library's sounds were derived from 11 analog synthesizers, 5 vintage digital synthesizers, and 6 drum machines. A sample set comes with each of the included KoreSounds. Relative News

KRK Systems has released the second generation of the Rokit powered-studio monitor. The new Rokit has a molded front baffle that minimizes diffraction distortion; likewise, its molded front-facing bass port reduces low-frequency phase distortion and unwanted frequency emphasis.
