Wind Chimes from 7thDanSound on Vimeo."I've been thinking about a wind chime patch for quite a while. Thought the new .com quantizers might help me so I made my first try tonight. I'm not entirely happy but it's a start. I guess getting the proper randomness is the hardest part. Getting quite the right sound isn't easy either, best is the MiniMoog in this piece, then the SEM and last, Relative News

Used at high clock rates it acts as a digital tone generator (similar to a noisy digital tone-wheel).Additionally there´s a internal clock generator with output plus a analogue white noise source.Technical details:Based on a shift register, the Noise Ring processes its 8Bit Relative News

The sound is sometimes very distorted. You can make nice rhythmic and noisy patterns. It is a nice, small and artistic device."Weird Devices - Noise Bird II Synth by feedtheoctopus666 Relative News

It may not sound inherently musical, but you can produce great hihats, bass thuds, and airy pitched noises."Give it a go on the Zach Archer Blog Relative News
