Sennheiser has announced the introduction of MK 4, a stunning large-diaphragm condenser microphone.  Designed primarily with recording engineers looking for the best bang-for-the-buck, the MK 4 features a 1-inch 24-carat gold diaphragm, sturdy metal housing, and an internal capsule shockmount system.  With a very low self-noise of 10dB, the MK 4 can handle a respectable 140 dB. According to Sennheiser, the MK 4 has a very detailed mid and low range, and sparkles on vocals.  The MK 4 will ship with a carrying case and a microphone clip, with an optional shockmount available.  Available after the NAMM show, no pricing has been announced.
