Granelli Audio Labs have introduced their G5790 -- a genuine Shure SM57 hand-modified to have a convenient right-angle head, best suited for drums and other tight spaces for recording and live sound use.
With a retail price of only $149 -- $50 more than a regular SM57 will cost -- the SM57 is disassembled, and a right-angle joint is added -- and according to Granelli's founder and engineer, proper space is added inside the joint to maintain the frequency response of the 57, true to the original.
While modifying any Shure microphone voids your warranty, Granelli offers their own warranty for two years following your purchase.
